Grow Your Own Way opal earrings

Grow Your Own Way opal earrings
Most jewelry looks the same. Different store, same tidy little idea.
These earrings grow their own way.
Three tiny opal flowers rise inside each sterling silver circle. The leaves complement one another, but they don’t line up like they were stamped out by a machine. Even the two earrings belong together without copying each other.
That gives you something you aren’t going to find in the average jewelry store. More importantly, it means you don’t need an entirely new wardrobe to look different. Put on the flowy dress and jean jacket you already love, add these earrings, and suddenly the whole outfit has a point of view.
You and your mom are spending the afternoon at the botanical garden. You wander through the conservatory, stop for entirely too many pictures, and confidently discuss flowers neither of you can name.
The polished silver catches the sunlight, and six tiny opals flash beside your face. Your mom looks over and says, “I’ve never seen anything like those. They’re so you.”
That’s growing your own way: choosing something personal enough to make what you already own feel interesting all over again.

Each polished sterling silver circle holds three slender flower stems topped with 3 mm Australian opal triplets. Small textured leaves break up the straight lines and give the flowers the pleasantly unruly appearance of something that has been allowed to grow without consulting a diagram.
The flowers in each earring complement one another, but they are not exact duplicates. You may notice small variations in the stems, leaves, and spacing because the details are formed by hand. The result has balance without mechanical repetition.
Each circle measures approximately one inch across—about the size of a quarter. From the piercing to the bottom of the circle, the earrings hang approximately two inches.
The opal triplets combine a thin layer of natural Australian opal with a dark backing and a clear protective cap. This construction gives the small stones stronger color contrast and added protection for regular wear.
Brightly polished sterling silver reflects the light around the opals, while the open circular design gives the earrings presence without creating one solid piece of metal. They are flowers, technically. But they have no intention of behaving like wallflowers.
